Signs that you need a new Mattress

Sleeping on a mattress that has past it’s prime can lead to health problems.

Mattresses don’t last forever, here’s a few signs that you might need a new one…

1 – Poor Sleep

Do you toss and turn at night, wake up multiple times, or struggling to fall asleep? It could be your mattress. If you sleep better away from home it may mean your mattress is no longer comfortable.

2 – Visible Sagging or Lumps

Spring mattresses in particular can become uneven and develop sagging, dips or indentations especially in key support areas – even small changes can be enough to effect spinal alignment and support.

3 – Age of the Mattress

Even a good quality mattress has a life span, in general if your mattress is over 10 years old, it might be time for a new one.

4 – Increased Allergies or Asthma

Over time a mattress can accumulate dust, dry skin and even mould and dust mites – if you have noticed an increase in allergy symptoms your mattress could be the problem.

5 – Your needs have changed

If your situation has changed your mattress might not be suiting you. If you have lost or gained weight or have developed back or neck problems you may need a mattress that has better support and feels more comfortable for you.
